Hello! My name is Kiamata Perry and I am the 6th Grade Math Teacher at Macon County Middle School. I am excited to embark upon a brand year of learning! This school year, due to COVID-19, students are going to be learning math virtually whether they are face-to-face or remote. I plan to create an engaging, effective, and fun learning environment for my students, however, I need every stakeholder to take responsibility in their role. I graduated from Fort Valley State University in Spring 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics. I currently am continuing my education in graduate school at Liberty University where I am completing my Master's degree in Middle-Grades Education with a concentration in mathematics.
I began my teaching career by substitute teaching in Appling county in Fall 2018. By January 2019, I accepted the 7th-grade mathematics position and fell in love with Macon County Middle School. I have a passion to teach these children how to become independent & critical thinkers. I am passionate about developing mindsets and that is what I am here to do.
